The Junior Skills Challenge National Event is an event which involves the players that achieved the highest skills challenge score from events that have taken place across Canada throughout the season. By participating in a local CN FL Junior Skills Challenge, player’s scores are entered into the National Leaderboard by the site coordinators. Once the events are completed and scores have been uploaded players can track their results to see how they measure up to other players their age. On August 3rd, Future Links selects the top 4 players from each age group in both genders and offers them a subsidized opportunity to compete in the CN FL Junior Skills Challenge National Event.

The top 4 ranked players in the overall standings on the CN FL JSC National Leaderboard in each of the identified age groups below will qualify for the CN FL JSC National Event:
*the age classifications are based upon the child’s age as of August 25th of the current year *the top 4 competitors within each age group will be based on final National Ranking positions as of Tuesday, August 3rd, 2010 at 12:00 pm EDT.

Parking is provided at Assiniboia Downs at a cost of $5 per car however all qualified participants will receive complimentary parking. Once you park your car, proceed to the shuttle pick up/drop off area and board a complimentary shuttle that will take you directly to the Spectator Entrance at St. Charles Country Club.

St. Charles Country Club on Tuesday, August 24th at 8am. All participants MUST register during this time. Players who do not register during this time, without informing Event officials prior to such time, are subject to DISQUALIFICATION. During registration you will find out which skill station you will be starting at.

The Official event will start at 10:00am with an address from event officials to advise the details and logistics of the day. Participant order will be selected by random draw.
Participants are asked to arrive in their golf attire. There will not be change space available for competitors.
mmediately following the Skills Challenge Event all players and family members are invited to attend the barbeque lunch courtesy of CN. During the lunch the winners will be presented with their awards.
Each of the qualified and attending participants of the CNFL JSC National Event will receive a performance recognition package valued at over $200 courtesy of Titleist. The winners of the National Event in each age group for each gender will also receive a performance recognition package valued at $300 courntesy of Titleist. Prizing is provided courtesy of Titleist Footjoy, we are proud to have them as our sponsor for the Junior Skills Challenge National Event! The winners of the National Event in the age group of 15-18 will also receive an exemption into the 2011 Canadian Junior Boys Championship and the Royale Cup Canadian Junior Girls Championship.
In case of a tie the playoff will be a mini challenge where the players tee up 1 ball, hit one chip from an appropriate yardage and hit a 5 foot putt. The points will be accumulated and the process repeated until a winner is determined.
Participants are welcome to use their own golf ball during the competition.
All CN Future Links participants are expected to abide by the Golf Canada Junior Code of Conduct. Violations of the Code of Conduct will be dealt with based on the severity of the misconduct. The Code of Conduct is available on the Future Links Web site (www.CNFutureLinks.com) and will be supplied to each participant at registration.
Because the National Skills event has a set number of qualifiers, it is important that accepted individuals participate. If you find you cannot compete in the CN Future Links National Event, you must officially withdraw from the event by contacting Ted Logan at Golf Canada at 1-800-263-0009 ext. 204. This allows us to replace you with an alternate. If you cannot compete and do not withdraw and are therefore a “no show”, you may be subject to DISQUALIFICATION from future Golf Canada and provincial competitions.
